Walnut Ridge – Jerry Donald Gill, 81 of Walnut Ridge passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on February 23, 1935 to Olus and Rebecca Kissee Gill in Walnut Ridge. He married Shirley Gaines on March 19, 1955 in Tunica, Mississippi. Jerry was a farmer, and of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Harold Gill.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of the home; daughter, Debbie Geurin (Keith) of Lynn; sons, Donald "Von" Gill (Tammie) of Black Rock, Joey of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Colbert Gill (Doris) of Walnut Ridge, H.V. Gill (Lynda) of Searcy; sisters, Patsy Martin of Scottsdale, Arizona, Barbara Stevenson (Bob) of Canadian Lakes, Michigan; grandchildren, Kris, Brett, Jared, and Rebecca Gill, and Josh, Dustin, and Blake Geurin; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kylie, Kaden, Jarrett, Connor, and Rachael Geurin, and Caleb Smith.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5 pm – 8 pm at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Funeral will be Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10 am at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Burial will be at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
