Jerry Dale Tucker, 89, of Portia, passed from this life on Friday, May 9, 2025, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was born November 24, 1935, in Arbor Grove to the late Henry A. and Larkin B. Oliphant Tucker. He was united in marriage to Frances Jane Burnett on May 19, 1962, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jerry was employed at Frolic Footwear, where he retired after many years. Jerry proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the United Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. He had various interests, including camping, fishing, hunting, bowling, motorcycles, and stock car racing. Jerry was known for riding his golf cart around Portia and visiting the Dairy King daily.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Fran, of 59 years; daughters, Randye Tucker and Carolyn Tucker Pugh; and brother, Henry A. Tucker, Jr.

Surviving him are his daughters, Virginia Tucker of Hoxie and Dianne Tucker Ellis (Michael) of Frankfort, Indiana; sister, Barbara Wilkinson of North Carolina; grandchildren, Matt Teel (Wesley), Haley Keeney (Dalin), Nickye Bates (Jeff), Beth Albert (Wes), Ben Granderson, and LeShelle Aycock (Andy); great-grandchildren, Jinna Jo Mullins, Kyler Keeney, Abriella Keeney, Corbin Granderson; niece, Renee Tucker; nephew, Jimmy McAlexander; and a host of other family members.
