Jesse Wayne Suttles, 82, of Jonesboro, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021, at his residence.  Jesse was born on April 13, 1938, in Longview, Texas to Audrey Lance and Ada Abigail Dyke Suttles.  On June 27, 1964, he married Betty Swindle in Egypt.  He retired from General Electric and worked for United Postal Service. Jesse served in the United States Army and was a member of the Valley View church of Christ.  He was an avid woodworker.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Jack Suttles, and sisters Lillie Dabney and Barbara Steward.

Survivors include his wife Betty, to whom he was married for 56 years, of the home; sons, Lance Suttles of Bono and Ronnie Suttles of Jonesboro; daughter, Brenda Suttles of Jonesboro; brother, Doyle Suttles (Norma) of Maude, TX; sisters, Millie Johnson of Houston, TX and Bernice (Tincy) Harvey of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Grant and Garrett Suttles, Jodi Suttles and Crystal Lowery; great-grandchildren, Leni Pendergrass, and Kyle and Kylie Lowery.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021, in Unity Cemetery near Jonesboro.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.  Military honors will be rendered.
