Jessie Michael Rider, age 17, of Hoxie, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Bono.  He was born on October 9, 2003 to Michael and Joyce McDonald Rider in Newport. Jessie attended Hoxie High School.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends, playing video games, driving his truck, and playing football and basketball.  He dearly loved his mom, his pets and children.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Rider; paternal grandmother, Erma Rider and maternal grandparents, Robert and Thelma McDonald.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Rider of Hoxie; sister, Allysa Rider of Paragould; paternal grandfather, Carl Rider of Pocahontas; aunts, Carla Garvin (Wesley) of Pocahontas and Edie Trindle of Granite City, IL. and several other family and friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 1 pm in Austin Cemetery near Walnut Ridge.  Wesley Garvin will officiate.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
