Joan Ratliff, 84, of Walnut Ridge,  passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.  She was born on September 1, 1933 to Everett and Ola Eskridge Looney.  In 1967, she married Waldo Carnie Ratliff.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Waldo; and sister, Patsy Swindle.

Survivors include her sister, Kay Mathews (Don) of Walnut Ridge; nieces, Judy Swindle of San Antonio, Texas, Libby Bennett and Cindy Lester (Chuck), both of Hot Springs, and Jennifer Townsend (Corley) of Little Rock; great nephews, Blake Lester (Tina) and Jonathan Lester.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Beth Perdue officiating.  Burial will be at Austin Cemetery near Walnut Ridge, under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Blake Lester, Corley Townsend, James Pickney, Bobby Brasfield, and Dud Bassett.
