Jocie Lois Thomason, 79, of Walnut Ridge died Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born July 13, 1934, in Stanford to Mack Doughty and Jocie White. She worked as a CNA, owned a boarding home, and was of church of Christ belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Sterling Thomason; siblings; Oreane Shewmaker, Maudie Shaffer, Jesteen Crocket, Dortha Lenderman, Max Lee Baine, and Linda Brumley.

Survivors include her brother, Jesse Doughty of Paragould; several nieces and nephews; one granddaughter; one grandson; two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2014, from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm at the Cox-Fears Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home with L. R. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Croft Cemetery near Stanford.

Pallbearers are Mark Morrow, Keith Morrow, John Gill, Jeff Gill, Wes Gill, Garrett Gill, and Heath Brumley.
