Rev. John Newton's Obituary
Rev. John Newton, 94, of Walnut Ridge passed away February 21, 2017 at his home. He was born November 21, 1922 in Junction Valley, Iowa. He was married to Ilene Celenta for fifty years. He served in the United States Army during the World War II era under General Patton. He was a minister at The Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Ilene Celenta; his parents; two sons, several brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Ann Carais of Dry Ridge, Kentucky and two grandchildren.
Burial will be private. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
