John Earl Sanders, 77, of Pocahontas, AR departed this life on June, 21, 2024 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

He was born on April 25, 1947 in Pocahontas to the late Russell Raymond Sanders and Wanda Imogene Higginbotham-Sanders.

John Sanders was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Schultz; aunt and uncles, Hazel Potter, Duane and Vernon Sanders, Thomas, Thurman, and Richard Higginbotham; cousins, Paul, Janice, Cindy, and Delora.

Left to celebrate his life are his sons, Joe(Vanessa) Sanders of Pocahontas, Brian Sanders of Pocahontas; sister, Wanda Frey of St. Louis, MO.; brother, Raymond Sanders of Branson, MO; grandchildren, Hunter(Tiffany) Sanders of Manchester, CT, Jade(Lawana) Sanders of Pocahontas and Willadeen Sanders of Pocahontas; great-grandchildren, Elliot and Declan of Pocahontas. Uncles; Howard and Glenn; Cousins, Judy, Rita, Gail, David, Mary, Martha, Ruth, Keith, Kevin, Kim, Edward, Vicki, Cathy, Mike, Robin, Jenny, Betty, Linda, and Jerry; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as a host of other family members and friends.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
