Johnny Sim Huskey, 78, of Ravenden Springs, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on July 10, 1948, in Saffell, to the late Alonzo and Rosie (Handley) Huskey. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Reeves on April 18, 1970, in Rockford, Illinois.

Johnny was a self-employed carpenter who dedicated his career to building houses from the ground up. Johnny loved hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He had a generous heart and was always lending a helping hand to others. Johnny was also a man of deep faith who found great comfort and strength in God’s word. As an avid reader of the Bible, he kept it close by as an important part of his daily life.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Huskey, Bill Huskey, and Phillip Huskey; sisters, Virgie Sullivan, Eveline Miller, Carolyn Fortenberry, and Madaline McIntosh.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home; daughter, Shannon Dulgar (Ronnie) of Ravenden Springs; sisters, Earline Eickhorst (Floyd) of Hermitage, Missouri, Sharon Sales of Swifton; grandchildren, Hayden Dulgar and Ella Dulgar; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. in the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 11 A.M. Dillon Ham will officiate. Interment will follow in the Swifton Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Jenkins, Christopher Jenkins, Rodney Dulgar, Jimmy Reeves, Caleb Reeves, and Willy McArthur.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny’s nephews.
