Bono-Jon Wesley Wagner, 62, passed away Friday, August 16, 2019 at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.  He was born January 13, 1957 to James and Barbara Leybourne Wagner in Bedford, England.  He married Betty Sue Doyle on December 31, 1986 in Jonesboro.  He was a maintenance technician at World Color and served in the United States Army for six years and three months as a crew chief helicopter repairer on OH-58D Kiowa Warrior and Bell UH-1 Iroquois Huey.  Jon was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro and was an active attendee to his life group for many years.

Preceding him in death were his father, Lt. Col. James L. Wagner; and wife, Betty Wagner.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Wagner of Mountain Home; son, Jason Wagner (Julie) of Paragould; grandchildren, Wesley and Lynlee; sisters, Lou Crow (Danny) of Camp, and Linda Allen (Mark) of Bennett, Nebraska; brothers, Alan Wagner (Missy) of Sturkie; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2019 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  The Funeral will follow at 12 p.m. with Andy Neal officiating.  Interment will follow in Manning # 1 Cemetery near Sedgwick under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Military honors will be rendered.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steven Crow, James Wagner, Chris West, Curt Hogue, Mickeal Quillman, and Hunter Long.

Honorary pallbearers are Jon's church life group at Central Baptist.
