Joyce Anita Eaton Kapales, 75, of Conroe TX, formerly of Hoxie, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Icon Hospital in Humble, TX. She was born February 7, 1938 in Knobel to Benjamin Floyd Eaton and Lois Carolina Turpin. On October 23, 1954 she married Leonard Ervin "Dutch" Kapales. She was of Methodist faith and attended Hoxie United Methodist Church. She was a Beautician and Homemaker and loved to play basketball.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Luther, Billy, and Gene Eaton; sisters, Thelma Rainwater and Anna Davis.

Survivors include her children, Ricky Kapales of Eaton, Kevin Kapales (Andrea) of Rogers, Mica Robertson (Michael) of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Drew, Aubrey, and Makenzie Kapales; step-grandchild, Billy Shelton II; caregiver, great friend, and companion, Mariam Mayo; Caring Hands of Porter, Peter and Mary Ghinga and staff.

Visitation will be Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services are Thursday 1:00 pm Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Harold Russell officiating. Burial to follow in Old Lebanon Cemetery in Eaton.

Pallbearers are Bobby Rainey, Gary "Duck" Rainwater, Mark Eaton, Travis Tinker, Jamie Tinker, Robert Pratt.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Tinker and Gary Baldwin.
