Joyce Yvonne Shelton, 73, of Black Rock, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born August 3, 1939. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Hopkins; her son, Danny Higginbotham; her parents, Henry and Zelma Darris; sisters, Pauline Wilson and Betty Berry; brother, Alfred Darris.

She is survived by her husband, Leon Shelton of Black Rock; two sons, James Shelton (Monica) of Jonesboro and Tim Shelton of Carlton, TX.; three grandchildren, Grant Shelton and Lauren Shelton both of Jonesboro and Crystal Choate of Poplar Bluff, MO; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Sonny Darris, Jerry Darris, and Bobby Darris all of Black Rock; sisters, Magdaline Davidson, Henrietta Twilla, Judy Reynolds, Cathryn Ferguson, and Peggy Huley all of Black Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
