Black Rock- J.W. "Jim" Davis, 86, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.  He was born July 19, 1934, in Powhatan to the late Earl and Flora Yates Davis.  Jim was a salesman for Sears, Roebuck, and Co. for over 30 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God.  His hobby and talent was woodwork.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 68 years, of the home; sons, James Davis (Pamela) and Dennis Davis (Patricia) both of Illinois; daughter, Kimberly Davis of Illinois; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2020, from 12 until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral following immediately at 1 p.m.  Gaylon Russell will officiate.  Interment will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
