Larry Michael Couch, 54, of Portia passed from this life on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge. He was born January 7, 1970, in Rockford, Illinois to Larry Oscar and Beverly (Duncan) Couch.  Mike was united in marriage to Amy Carey on December 20, 2019, in Portia. He was a team leader at Hytrol for 29 years. He was of the Christian belief. Mike loved being outdoors, fishing, grilling, and spending time with his family.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Couch; and three uncles, Carroll Cotton Couch, Jerry Couch, and Gary Light.

He is survived by his mother, Beverly Couch of Portia; wife, Amy Couch of the home; son, Blake Couch of Jonesboro; daughter, Megan Carey of Black Rock; sisters, Shelia Hillhouse (Donnie) and Lisa Thompson both of Portia; grandchildren, Remington Carey and Meredith Jo Helms; nieces and nephews, Kevin Hillhouse, Stephanie Hillhouse, and Mitchell Thompson; great nieces and nephews, Carley Franks, Addison Croom, Reese Hillhouse, Shaye Thompson, Anthony Whitney, Mackenzie Thompson, Everleigh Thompson, and Cooper Thompson; and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 8, 2024, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 2 p.m. Joe Medlock will officiate.  Interment will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Tim Allison, Tommy Smith, Steven Lee, Mitchell Thompson, Kevin Hillhouse, and Seth Whitmire.
