Larry Sloan Forrester, 72, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Hoxie, died August 6, 2014 in Walnut Ridge. He was born November 8, 1941 in Egypt to Sloan and Audrey Adkisson Forrester. On April 7, 1962 he married Frances Huskey in Rockford, IL. He owned Larry's Muffler in Walnut Ridge and was a member of Arbor Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Howard Forrester.

Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; daughters, Kim Brown (Billy) of Hoxie and Sherry Boles (Tommie) of Ash Flat; son, Little Larry Forrester of Hoxie; sister, Patsy Forrester Coy of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Nicholas Brown (Christin), Spencer Brown (Jennifer), Shakara Boles Woodley (Dalton), Shalena Boles, Shayla Boles, Cade Forrester, Cara Forrester; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Kyler, and future great-grandchild; and Ashley Forrester, mother of Cade and Cara.

Visitation will be Friday, August 8th, from 6 to 8pm at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 9th, at 10am at the Cox chapel with David Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers are Darrell Blalock, Bob Goodwin, Lavon Light, Chris Tate, Jeremy Parker, and Chad Pace. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Gunsolus, Jerrell Milligan, Ricky Parker, and the Arbor Grove Senior Adult Men's Class.
