Leon Hibbard, 92, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Monday, May 3, 2021 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.  He was born December 30, 1928 to William Nathaniel and Mattie Larimore Hibbard.  Leon was a car salesman for many years and owned O'Kean Merchantile.  He was of the Baptist belief.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Sue Jones Hibbard, and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his sons, Randy and Nathan Hibbard, both of Walnut Ridge; his daughter, Rhonda Bounds of Hardy; grandchildren, Chris Hibbard; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Haley, and Conner.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021, 3 p.m., in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.  Tim Campbell will officiate.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

The family will serve as pallbearers.
