Linda Louise Funchess, 79, of Hoxie passed from this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Home in Walnut Ridge. She was born August, 7, 1944 in Truman to the late Sumner and Mary Vaughn Davis. She was united in marriage to James Funchess on November 23, 1987 in Mississippi.  Linda was a proud housewife and of the Baptist belief. She enjoyed fishing and being with her family.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Carl Davis, Terry Davis, James "Pokey" Davis, and a granddaughter, Briana Arford.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Don Greer (Sara) of Portia, and Quinn Greer of Hoxie; three daughters, Lana Russell of Hoxie, Vanessa Gray (James) of Sedgwick, and Susan Hunt (Todd) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two brothers, Jimmie Davis (Marilyn) of Jonesboro, and Rondal "Buster" Davis of Clarksville; one sister, Annetta Jordan of Keota Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Rick Hart will be officiating. Interment will follow in Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are JR Davis, Joshua Davis, Jerry Greer, Quinn Greer, James Gray, and Rondal "Buster" Davis.

All the grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
