Lloyd "Dale" Davis, 81, of Walnut Ridge, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on August 11, 1932 in Little Brown, Arkansas to Charles Henry and Madge Louella Forrester Davis. On January 28, 1972, he married Vada Johnson in Walnut Ridge. He retired from Entergy after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Sedgwick Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Junior, Dub and Gene Davis and sister, Irene Crider.

Survivors include his wife, Vada of the home; son, Darrell Wayne Davis (Kathy) of Paragould; daughter, Donna Williams (Larry) of Ravenden; stepsons, Harvey Austin of Hot Springs and Joey Austin (Stacye) of Conway; brothers, Ronald Davis of Memphis and Forrester Davis of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Sue Hancock, Mona Hicks, Manon Tillman and Yvonne Ellison all of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Kristie Stringer and Jennifer Smith; step-grandchildren, Jackie Austin, Nikki Golden, Matt, Scott and Abby Austin; great-grandchildren, Halle, Jeter and Alex Stringer; step great-grandchildren, Abbi Austin, C.J. and Cade Golden.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 2:00 p.m. at Cox-Fears Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Tom Lamb officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
