Lloyd Albert Hefner, 93, of Fontaine, passed from this life on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born on June 20, 1933, in Fontaine, to the late G.W. and Lula Mae (Songer) Hefner. He was united in marriage to Elnora Lenderman on June 17, 1951, in Light. He was a lifelong self-employed farmer, and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was of the Baptist belief. Lloyd enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Kathy Proffitt; brothers, Robert Hefner and James Hefner; sisters, Ollie Bowman, Mary Warrington, Gertrude Cupp, and Maxine Powers.

He is survived by his son, Keith Hefner (Patricia) Fontaine; sisters, Eunice Smith of Michigan; granddaughter, Jennifer Watson (Mike) of Jonesboro; and a host of other family members and friends.

Graveside Services will be Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 11 A.M. in the Lorado Cemetery. Jimmy Dunlap will officiate. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
