Lola Daphine Douglas, 82, of Sedgwick went to her heavenly home on Friday, November 17, 2023, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.  She was born May 21, 1941, in Sedgwick to the late Clarence and Ruby (Rimer) Ferguson. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, W.G. Douglas on September 5, 1958, in Sedgwick, AR.  Lola retired from General Electric after many years of service. She was a founding member of Cache River Pentecostal Church in Sedgwick, and began serving the church as the song leader in 1968 and later became the church secretary, which she held for well over 40 years. Most of all, she will always be remembered as a faithful prayer warrior, a humble servant of the Lord, who loved everyone around her.

In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her siblings, C.D. Ferguson, Lois Kisling, and Paula Joan Smith; and granddaughter, Whitney Smith.

She is survived by her children, Larry Douglas (Tina) of Smithville), Carol Allen (Reggie) of Sedgwick, Paula Bryant of Walnut Ridge, and Karen Brewer (Shawn) of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Paul Ferguson (Dawn) of Pocahontas and Dick Ferguson (Carol) of Mountain Home; sisters, Margie Esperson of West Carroll Parish Louisiana, Sunshine Pope of Bono, Faye Rowell of Jonesboro, and Vanessa Jenkins (Allen) of Bettendorf, Iowa; grandchildren, Arron Allen, Racheal Bennett (Jonathan), Adam Smith (Ericka), Shana Irwin (Spencer), Taylor Brewer, and Olivia Bryant; great-grandchildren, Emma Allen, Isabella Ward, Griffin Bennett, Kollins Bennett, Blake Bennett, Zakery Bennett, Rylee Smith, Maddox Smith, Skylar Irwin, and Oliver Irwin.

Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral services will follow immediately at 12 p.m. with Rev. Rick Hart and Rev. Glenn Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jon Rowell, Tim Rowell, Kerry Pope, Steve Kisling, Glenn Kisling, and Jeremy Kisling.
