Pocahontas-  Lyndell Janett "Tooter" Meeks, formerly or Black Rock, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.  She was born in Swifton on December 28, 1948 to Adrin Lynell and Iva Smith Ethridge.  She married Billy Meeks on August 20, 1966 at Imboden, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and of the Southern Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, Mickey Ethridge.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Meeks of the home; her father, Adrin Ethridge of Alicia ; sons, Bobby Foster of Delaplaine and Gerald Meeks (Leishi) of Black Rock; sisters, Sharon Stonam (David) of St. Augustine, TX.; grandson, Hunter Cecil Hawkins Meeks.

Graveside services will be, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2pm at Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock with Blake Shaw officiating.   All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers are Chester Shannon and friends of the family.
