Mamie Alma Mount, 97, of Walnut Ridge passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.  She was born July 31, 1919 to James Monroe and Daisy Rains Chapman in McNairy County, Tennessee.  She was a homemaker and a member of Smithville Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Aubrey O'Connor; grandchildren, Michael O'Connor and David Gill; three brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by daughter, Doris Gill (Colbert) of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Greg Gill (Kim) of Walnut Ridge, Keith Gill of San Diego, California, Teresa Wheelis of Cherokee Village, and Lawrence O'Connor (Natalie) of San Antonio, Texas; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Gary, Emily and Nash; and seven great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
