Marcelyn "Marcey", 70, of Walnut Ridge, passed from this life on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born October 18, 1954, in New Orleans to the late Alvin Harold and Carolyn Mae (Johnston) Lassen. Marcey was employed as a neonatal registered nurse for many years, several of those years being a flight nurse and saving babies. She was of the Jewish faith.

Marcey was preceded in death by her parents; and her special pet, Elvis.

She is survived by her siblings, Evie Howard (Bill) of Jonesboro, Jan Gloven (Mark) of Colorado, and Tobin Lassen (Catherine) of Houston, Texas; ten nieces and nephews; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Cox Funeral Home chapel in Walnut Ridge. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

The family wants to thank the Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab staff for their many years of kindness, caretaking, and service to Marcey.
