Smithville-Mark Raines, 62, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.  He was born December 23, 1956 in Blytheville to John Lawrence and Mattie Lee Cates Raines. Mark was a truck driver during his life and and was a United States Army veteran. Mark was a friend of many and enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles. Mark was known for helping others.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his mother, Mattie Raines of Washington; daughter, Andrea Roark (Jeff) of Ravenden; brothers, Jim Raines of Washington and Michael Raines of Michigan; sisters, Cynthia Raines and Sue Henry both of Washington; two grandchildren, Kyle and Karson Roark.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 6 from 10 until 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Jim Dunlap officiating.  Interment will follow in Smithville Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
