Walnut Ridge - Mary Lee Adamson, 82, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Lake City. She was born on November 29, 1932 to Clyde and Edna Stevens Meeler in Walnut Ridge.  She loved cooking and was known for her chocolate pies.  Mary was the owner of Mary's café for many years, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty.

Survivors include her husband, Octavis (Red) Adamson of the home;  two sons, Virgil Adamson (Karen) and Steve Adamson (Julie) of Hoxie; one daughter Leeann Paxton (Byron) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Ashley Estes (Jeff) of Brookland, Mark Paxton (Brittany) of Jonesboro, Jacob (Amy Ward), Paul Adamson and Noah Adamson (Emma Slusser) of Hoxie, great grandchildren, Lance and Tinley Grace Paxton, Parker and Waylon Ward, her fur baby, "Rascal",  and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 12 - 2 pm for family and close friends at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral will begin at 2 pm at Cox Funeral Home, with Jake Guenrich and Tim Campbell officiating.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark Paxton, Noah Adamson, Paul Adamson, Jeff Estes, David Smith, and Paul Bennett.

Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Gibbens, Tommy Gray, and Gary Cunningham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NEA Humane Society.

Family changed from graveside service to a funeral service here in our chapel due to the cold weather, so funeral will be held in our chapel with burial following at Lawrence Memorial Park
