Mary Alice Flanery, 89, of O'Kean, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at her residence. She was born May 17, 1935, in Peach Orchard to the late Jake and Gladys (Story) Taylor. She married the love of her life, R.C. (Peanut) Flanery on February 21, 1952 in Delaplaine. She was a homemaker and a woman of strong faith who loved Jesus. Her passions were Jesus, church, and family. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Roger Flanery; brother, Irvin Taylor; and sisters, Merle Smothers and Joyce Aden.

She is survived by her children, Diane Allen (Harold) of Walnut Ridge, Robbie Walton (Howard) of Imboden, Rhonda Fiedor (Jeff) of Walnut Ridge, and Shelly Stacy (Mike) of O'Kean; 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Duty Cemetery in Walnut Ridge. Freddie Walton and Barron Wildmon will officiate. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Mary will be lovingly carried to her final resting place by her sons-in-law, Harold, Howard, Jeff, and Mike; grandsons Clinton and Josh.
