Mary Francis Richey, 68, of Smithville passed from this life on Monday, January 8, 2024, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born February 24, 1955, in Newport to the late William Jay and Beatres (Turnbull) Hutchison. Mary was united in marriage to Jim Richey on October 4, 1976, in St. Louis. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ in Hoxie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Annie Turnbull.

Mary is survived by her husband, Jim of the home; children, Preston Richey (Jennifer) of Smithville, Travis Richey (Crystal) of Powhatan, Tabitha Richey of Walnut Ridge, two step-children, Allen Richey of Alaska, Tracy Lawson of Batesville; grandchildren, Dalton, Trenton, Emma-Leigh, Ella, Elijah, Grace, Michael, Terri, Cerena, and Alyssa; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Bro. Gary Dauzat will officiate. Interment will follow in Powhatan Cemetery in Powhatan under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Michael Richey, Daniel Morgan, Jordan Morgan, John and Will Morgan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elijah Richey, Dalton Richey, and Trenton Richey.
