"Captain" Max Lelon Terrell, 84, of Annieville, died July 27, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 4, 1929 in Aberdeen to George Washington and Maude Harris Terrell. On November 14, 1975 he married Mars Jean Poteet in Imboden. He was a tugboat Captain for 65 years and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; daughter, Sheila Garner; several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his son, Michael Cameron (Betsy) of Imboden; daughter, Elizabeth Foulkes of Cherokee Village; brother, Steve Terrell of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Vicky Roberts of Roe and Sue Eastham of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brandy Luker, Jason Cameron, Jeff Cameron, Brenton Eason, Ryan Garner, Tyler Garner, and Kaitlin Foulkes; great-grandchildren, Marina Luker, Berkley Cameron, Jenner Cameron, and Jackson Eason.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 10:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Annieville under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge; Jerry Clements officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Imboden.
