Mona Alvine Hedrick, 85 of Pocahontas, passed from this life on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Pocahontas Healthcare and Rehab. She was born on October 21, 1936, to the late Alvin Hedrick and Mary Eda Lawson Hedrick in Imboden. She enjoyed her family and participating in the Special Olympics. Mona was a proud member of Imboden United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mona was preceded in death by her baby sister, Joyce Young.

Mona is survived by her sister, Janice Shanks of Imboden, cousins, several nieces, and nephews, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1 pm in Kelley Cemetery in Imboden. Michael Dodson will officiate. All arrangements are made under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers, are Donnie Young, Curtis Young, Jay Shanks, Bill Martin, Brandon Ford,  Randy Wyatt and Chuck Ludwig.
