Nora "Glenavee" Walker, 69, of Beech Grove passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born on January 9, 1945 to Auston and Violet Rosella Neal Kemp in Walnut Corner, Arkansas. On February 16, 1962 she married Bobby Joe Walker in Walnut Ridge. She had worked at Golf Bag Associates in Walnut Ridge and Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. She was of the Baptist belief.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include sons; Joe Walker (Lori) of Light and Jessie "Pudge" Walker (Tina) of Mountain Home; daughter, Brenda Stokes of Paragould; sisters, Ruth Boyd of Corning, Cleasta Douglas of Granite City, IL, Patricia Bailey of Light and June McBride of Machesney Park, Il; three grandchildren, Karie Joe Walker (Jayme), Casey Stokes and Justin Walker; four great grandchildren, Carmen and Colby Stokes, Kylie Jo Walker and Quintin Quam.

Visitation will be Monday, July 7th, from 5 until 8 pm in the Cox-Fears Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 8th, at 2 pm at the Cox-Fears Chapel with Dale Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain Home Cemetery near Stanford.

Pallbearers are Karie Walker, Casey Stokes, Justin Walker, Ernie Nelson, Ray Nelson, Mark Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Davis, Marlin Bailey and Greg Bailey.
