SMITHVILLE – Paul Laverne Perkins, 89, died Monday morning, July 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1922 in Smithville to Noah Webster and Beatrice Deyling Perkins . He married Bonnie Baker December 6, 1952 in Imboden. He attended the Smithville Methodist Church and served as an Air Force airplane mechanic in WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl D. Perkins.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; son, Jim Perkins of Smithville; daughters, Jo Perkins of Smithville and Myra Bradford of Mountain Home; grandsons, Blake Perkins of West Virginia, Jeffery Jines of Mountain Home; granddaughter, Paula Perkins of Smithville, Magen Bates of Brookland; great-grandchildren, Owen, Maddox, and Kobe.
Visitation is Wednesday, July 11, 2012 10:00 am at the Smithville Methodist Church. Funeral services are immediately following visitation with Bob McMillon officiating and directed by Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge. Burial to follow in Townsend Cemetery in Smithville.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jeffery Jines, Blake Perkins, Courtney Durham, and Daniel Bates.
