Walnut Ridge-Paul Rider, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center.  He was born on April 19, 1931 to Earl and Bernice Little Rider in Lynn.  He married Cloa Etta Holland on August 4, 1951 in Walnut Ridge.  He was a retired mechanic and was of the Baptist belief.  He was a lifetime resident of Lawrence County. Paul served in the U.S. Army in Germany after WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Darrel Rider, Eugene Rider, and Dale Rider.

He is survived by his wife, Cloa Etta Rider of the home; sons, Jim Rider (Glenda) of East End and Kelley Rider of Walnut Ridge; daughter, Martha Fullen of Walnut Ridge; grandson, Anthony Rider (Amy) of Benton; great-grandchildren, Landen Rider and Carsen Rider.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 1 until 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Funeral will follow at 2 p.m. with John Durham and Blake Jamison officiating.  Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge. Military honors will be rendered.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jim Rider, Jeff Rider, Anthony Rider, Marty Fullen, Tony Anderson, and Terry Holland.

Honorary pallbearer will be Kelley Rider.
