Rex Lee Hart, 73, of Walnut Ridge, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born January 29, 1941 to Theodore and Macey Jones Hart in the Richwoods Community. On June 2, 1961 he married Brenda Joyce Agnew at Mammoth Springs. He had worked at Smith Implement, Mitchell Gulf, and Thermogas as a truck driver. He was of the Pentecostal belief.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda of the home; son, Brian Hart (Teressa) of Hoxie; daughters, Monica Hart of Jonesboro, Shannon Lundquist (Erik) of Gypsum, CO, and Shauna Tennison of Eudora, MS; brothers, H. V. Hart of Walnut Ridge, Jim Hart of Hoxie, and Junior Hart of Portia; sisters, Judy Kazzee of Pocahontas, Peggy Cassidy of Poplar Bluff, MO, Charlotte McClintock of Love Park, IL, Carol Plaster of Bull Shoals, and Betty Johnson of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brandi and Brittney Whitlow, Mariah Meeks, Austin Thomas, Garrett and Spencer Hart, Rhiannon and Savannah Tennison, Jacob Hart, and one grandchild on the way; great grandchildren, Breauna and Jaylee Whitlow, and Drake Meeks.

Funeral services are Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with Dale Hughart and Glenn Smith officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm prior to services. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Pallbearers are Garrett Hart, Spencer Hart, Randy Mize, Darren Roberts, Trevor Meeks, and Austin Thomas.
