Rheta Faye Hellemeyer, 68, of Warrenton, MO died March 28, 2014, at St. Joseph's Health Center in St. Charles, MO. She was born December 19, 1945 in Pocahontas to Chestley Washington and Glenda Marie Etchason Matthews. Rheta loved spending time with her grandchildren, loved flowers, fishing, and bowling. She loved to travel, visiting all 50 states and travelling the world. She was a woodcrafter, antique collector, jewelry collector, and gardener. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Gene Matthews; sisters, Freda Matthews, Shirley Melton, and Mary Lindsey. Survivors include her husband, Jerald "Jerry" Hellemeyer of the home; sons, Jimmy DeWayne (Yuyang) Snyder, Danny Ray (Sandy) Snyder, and Randy (Diana) Snyder all of Warrenton, MO, Michael Hellemeyer of Robertsville, MO, Jayce (significant other, Tom) Hellemeyer; daughters, Donna (Fabian Zamora) Duckett of Wright City, MO, Christene Manning of Jonesboro, Susan (Kevin) Brooks of Howe, TX, Lori (Neil) Lafferty of Fayette, MO, Tracy Owens; brothers, David (Carla) Matthews and Bobby Matthews of Pocahontas; sisters, Betty Sue (Ron) Lynn, Judy Brandon, Lena (Ronnie) Wells, and Rosalie Matthews all of Pocahontas, Patsy (Delynn) Richardson of Castle Hayne, NC, Peggy Kemry of Warrenton, MO, Carol (Danny) Rawls of Paragould, Sharon (Tate) Townsend of Maynard, Anita Huddleston of O'Fallon, MO; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 1st, at 1:00pm at Brockett Cemetery in Pocahontas under the direction of Cox-Fears Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Gary Moore officiating.
