Rhoda Jane Smith, 81, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at her residence. She was born February 1, 1943, in Walnut Ridge to the late Alfred and Chloie (McElyea) Wallis. She was united in marriage to Larry M. Smith on July 24, 1964, in Walnut Ridge. She was employed at Skil during her lifetime. Rhoda was of the Baptist belief. She enjoyed crafting and her family meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, Rhoda was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Willard, Billy Mack, Roy, Floyd, and Troy; sisters, Willene, Darlene, and Lela; grandson, Zachary Smith; and great-granddaughter, Catalaya Sepulveda.

She is survived by her children, Patty Cansler (Gary) of Jonesboro, Alex Smith (Tina) of Alicia, and Alan Smith (Pam) of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Ivan Wallis of Walnut Ridge and Lloyd Wallis (Alice) of Perryville; grandchildren, Amber (Cooper) Skelton, Clint Cansler, Blaine (Logan) Smith, Randi (Allen) Sepulveda, Taylor Lindsey, Matt Cobb, A.J. Smith, Hunter Smith, and Alyson (Bubba) Blackwood; great-grandchildren, Carter, Lukacee, Bayne, Chris (Addy), Adrian, Elena, Isaac, Walker, Leeam, Corey, Colton, Cash, Rayden, Dylan, and Logan (Jordan); great-great grandchildren, Gracelynn, Hayden, and Willow; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Strangers Home Cemetery in Alicia. Family will officiate. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
