Rickey Gene Raney, 65, of Powhatan passed from this life on Saturday, September 2, 2023, near Lynn due to injuries sustained from an ATV accident.  He was born March 15, 1958, in Smithville to Eugene Ellis and Ruby (Blevins) Raney.  He worked as a certified engine repairman and truck driver during his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and one brother, Bobby Allen Raney.

He is survived by his father, Ellis Eugene Raney of Black Rock; children, Rickey Raney of Searcy, Crystal Raney Masters of Pocahontas, and Ashton Raney of Ravenden.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, 10 a.m., in Old Lebanon Cemetery near Lynn with graveside services following at 10:30 a.m. Ed Baker will officiate.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
