Robert Walker Stuart, 76, of Memphis passed from this life on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He was born June 21, 1946, in Ravenden to the late William Bates and Nama Avis Moore Stuart. He was a business man and owned and operated several Corner Grocery convenience stores. He enjoyed playing pool, golf, and tennis which he avidly played in high school and in college at Memphis State University where he was ranked. He was also in the Army reserves. Robert was of the Methodist belief.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, John Brady Stuart.

He is survived by daughters, Tonya Ginn (Greg), Jana Kyle (Jamin) both of Memphis, Lisa Grundorf (Layne) of Florida, and son, Michael McCoy (Joy) of Indiana; grandchildren, Kayla, Seth, Madeline, and Amelia; one great-granddaughter, Ada June; three nephews, William Stuart, Wesley Stuart, and Robert Stuart.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Little Robert Stuart, William Stuart, Wesley Stuart, Seth Wyne, Michael McCoy, Greg Ginn, Christian Myers, and Jamin Kyle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams and Manfred Filsinger.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 12 until 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge. Funeral services will follow immediately at 2 p.m. with John Stohl officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
