Hoxie- Ruby Mary Powers, 96, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab.  Ruby was born on December 1, 1923, to William "Bill" and Lizzie White Bennett in Denton.  She was a homemaker and a member of Bono church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eadison Raney; second husband, Homer Powers; a son, Earl Raney; a brother, Willis Bennett; sisters, Elsie Bristow, Willene Scoggins, and Geraldine Brannon.

Survivors include daughters, Shirley Lee (Jerry) of Bono, Barbara Brown(Ronnie), Pearline Kisling, and Patsy Finney, all of Hoxie; brother, Willie Bennett of Hoxie; grandchildren, Steve and Lisa Simmons, Debra Lawson, Tammy and Jerry Lee, David, Ricky, Gary Hardin, Rhonda O'Conner, Chris, Rodney, and Melinda Raney, Ricky and Kimberly Finny; several great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 14, 2020, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral service immediately following at 2 p.m. with Harold Russel officiating.  Burial will be in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
