Samuel Arthur Trowbridge, 76, of Black Rock passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017.  He was born on February 3, 1941 in Glascoe, Kentucky to Victor Laine and Josephine Taylor Trowbridge.  He married Helen Marie Brown on August 21, 1992 in Arbyrd, Missouri.  He was a farmer and heavy equipment operator, and was of the Baptist belief.  He served in the National Guard for twelve years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Woodrow Wilson Talburt; first wife, Dorothy (Doris) Lucille Trowbridge;  stepson, Jimmy Lee Nipper, Jr; Sister Lillian Ruth Hoots, and great grandson, D.J. Blair.

Survivors include wife, Helen Trowbridge; two sons, Marion Lee Trowbridge (Amanda) of Jonesboro and Samuel Wayne Trowbridge of Missouri; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hart (Kenny) of Hornersville, Missouri; step-daughters, Peggy Sue Linebaugh (Kelly) of Imboden,  Marcia Lynn Roth (Bill) of Arbyrd, Missouri, Jenny Lea Blair (Jimbo), and Kerry Ann Moore (Matthew), both of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; brothers, Randell Talburt of Jonesboro and Wendell Talburt of Dallas, Texas; and sister, Debbie Bonner of Georgia; twenty three grandchildren, and twenty six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 10 am – 12 pm at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral will follow at 12 pm at Cox Funeral Home with Tony Becker officiating.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery near Imboden under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jacob Trowbridge, Joseph Trowbridge, Marion Trowbridge, Kelly Linebaugh, and Edward Linebaugh.
