Sandra (Sandy) Elaine Peterson, 72, of Imboden, passed from this life on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born on October 31, 1953, in Imboden to the late Howard and Wilma (Smith) Beavers. She retired as a matron and dispatcher for the Lawrence County Sheriff’s department. Sandy was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Annieville.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Beavers and Morris Beavers; and her infant sister, Judy Beavers.

She is survived by her son, Creston Hutton (Vicki) of Imboden; her daughters, Carrie Wilson of Imboden, and Cami Alexander (Brian) of Pocahontas; her siblings, Clarence Beavers of Richmond, Texas, Brenda House (Cloyce) of Black Rock, Darlene Martin of Annieville, Bob Greenlee of Cherokee Village, and Danny Beavers of Ash Flat; grandchildren, Cameron Wilson, Samantha Nauser (Jonathan), Anna Day (Dakota), Emma Tyson (Sunny), Perry Hutton, and Trey Wilson; great-grandchildren, Felicity, Emmalyn, and Amelia; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Annieville with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 P.M. Bro. Vance Penn and Bro. Jerry Clements will officiate. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Annieville under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Perry Hutton, Cameron Wilson, Trey Wilson, Dakota Day, Jonathan Nauser, and Brian Alexander.
