Shirley Ann Crum, 81, of Walnut Ridge, passed from this life on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1944, in Sedgwick to the late Sam Franklin and Pearley (Lakey) Manis. She was united in marriage to Tom Crum on April 24, 2010, in Sedgwick.

She attended the Cache River Pentecost Church in Sedgwick and was known for her caring spirit and strong work ethic. She worked as a home health CNA for many years, serving others with patience and compassion, and later retired from ADT in Jonesboro. In addition, she was an amazingly creative person, and a talented seamstress who could use a brown paper sack to create a professional-quality, tailored piece—making winter coats, prom dresses, suit jackets, and baby blankets for her grandchildren. She built bookshelves and could fix lawnmowers; there was nothing she could not do.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Clara Mae Johnson and Betty Gallentine; and her sister-in-law, Clara Belle Manis.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Crum of the home; daughter, Tracy Gates (Wes) of Hoxie; son, Scott Ward (Angela) of Bryant; brother, Charles "De Bud" Manis of Sedgwick; special sister, Effie Lundry of Mountain Home; stepchildren, Cindy Willfond of Walnut Ridge, Sandy Schafer of Pocahontas, Tommy Crum (Tena) of Hoxie, Sharrie Murphy (Jr) of Ravenden, and Gilbert Gimlin of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Raven Gottschalk (Adam) of Dallas, Texas, Weston Gates (Leann) of Walnut Ridge, Rachel Ward of St. Louis, Missouri, and Rhett Ward of Bryant; several step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; special step-grandchildren, April Jobe (Charles) of Hardy and Valerie King (Michael) of Valley View; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1 P.M., at the Cache River Pentecostal Church in Sedgwick. Rick Hart will officiate.
