Walnut Ridge – Teddy Glenn Horton, 71 of Walnut Ridge, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on May 11, 1945 in Walnut Ridge to Willard T. and Vera Lee Warner Horton. Ted was a navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a retired law enforcement officer with Lawrence County after twenty three years of service, member of Aurora Masonic Lodge #423, and of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willard; wife, Phyllis Gaither Horton; and sister, Sandra Horton.

Survivors include his mother, Vera Warner Horton of Black Rock; son, Eric T. Horton of Walnut Ridge; brothers, Thom Horton (Ruby) of Frisco, Texas, and Ronald (Butch) Horton (Pam) of Walnut Ridge, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside service will be Monday, June 20, 2016 at 10:00 am at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge with Wayne Bryant officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
