Terry Dewayne Rainwater, 73, of Lynn passed from this life on January 8, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.  He was born September 5, 1950, in Black Rock to the late Troy Rainwater and Elsie (Howard) Rainwater.  Terry was retired from the Arkansas State Parks after years of service.  He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist church in Lynn.

In addition to his parents Terry was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Kathleen (Rainwater) Jacobsen and Wanda (Rainwater) Young; and one nephew, Shannon Rainwater.

He is survived by 3 brothers, Jack Rainwater (Betty) and Larry Rainwater (Joy) both of Lynn, and Howard Rainwater (Barbara) of Ferguson, Missouri; nieces, Belinda Glenn, Laura Edwards, Mandy Durham, Michelle Hejna, Lanna Hoskins, and Jacqueline Duncan; nephews, Marty Young, Jeff Jacobsen, Michael Jacobsen and Patrick Rainwater; many great nieces and nephews, great-great nephews, and one great-great niece.

Visitation will be Friday, January 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn.  Funeral services will follow immediately at 12 p.m. with Jerry Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery in Lynn under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Landon Edwards, Morgan Edwards, Hayden Edwards, Lane Rainwater, Clint Durham, and Walker Durham.

Honorary pallbearers are Charles Penn, Nathan Howard, Charles Durham, Ted Penn, Howard Brannon, George Mast, Robert Howard, Adam Needham, Rick Rorex, Virgil Lynch, and Terry Rorex.
