Tony Ellison Teel, 77, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his residence.  He was born September 10, 1944, in Walnut Ridge to the late William and Knowles Oldham Teel.  Tony was a self-employed farmer during his life and served on the board of the Lawrence County NRCS for forty years.  He was of the Christian belief.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Leon "Shorty" Woody; and his niece, Nicole McLaughlin.

Tony is survived by his wife, Linda of 56 years of the home; his children, Heath (Suzanne) Teel, Mechelle Teel, and Natalie Teel, all of Walnut Ridge; his sister, Kathryn Woody of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Jeremy Howard, Cody Howard, Jordan Howard, Tyler Teel, Trevor Teel, Haiven Teel, Kullen Teel, and Kane Teel; and five great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, from 4 until 6 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.  A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with Jimmy Dunlap officiating.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lawrence County Conservation District located at 1100 W. Main St., Walnut Ridge, Arkansas 72476 for Tony Teel Memorial Conservation Scholarship.
