Troy Wayne Wallis, age 80, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his home in Hoxie, Arkansas.

Troy was born August 1, 1940 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Alfred and Chloie McElyea Wallis.  Following his education in the Walnut Ridge school system, he worked at various jobs before beginning operation, during the 1960's, of the Gulf service station North of Walnut Ridge.  But most of his working life was spent as a truck driver at which he worked well past retirement age.

Troy and Joan Milligan were married on January 28, 1962.

He is preceded in death by one son, Troy Wayne, Jr; his parents; three sisters, Willene, Darlene, and Lela; four brothers, Willard, Billy Mack, his twin, Roy Dwayne, and Floyd.

Survivors include his wife, Joan, of the home, one daughter, Pam (Andy) Trinidad of Bono, Arkansas; two grandsons, Anthony Cook and Michael Moody, both of Bono, Arkansas; one sister, Rhoda Smith of Walnut Ridge; two brothers, Ivan Wallis of Walnut Ridge; and Lloyd Wallis of Perryville, Arkansas; and numerous other family members and friends.

A short visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. on Friday March 19, 2021 at Cox Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.  Ed Baker will officiate.   Please observe mask requirement inside funeral home at visitation.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Anthony Cook, Michael Moody, Andy Trinidad, Jerry Cook, Dustin Ashford, and Dennis Coggins.
