Unabell Jenkins, 97, of Pocahontas, passed from this life on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at The Blossoms at Newport Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born on May 20, 1929, in Hoxie, Arkansas, to Ava Bradford. For over 50 years, Unabell faithfully served as a pastor's wife alongside her beloved husband, Reverend Clarence Cleo Jenkins. She dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her home, raising not only her own children but also nurturing and caring for many others throughout the years. Unabell later retired from Amerock Manufacturing in Rockford, Illinois.

Unabell was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Clarence Cleo Jenkins; mother, Ava Bradford; son, Jerry Wayne Jenkins; sister, Isabell Fleming; grandchildren, Lisa Garza and Joshua Jenkins; and one infant great-granddaughter.

She is survived by her children, Alvin Jenkins (Amanda) of Fordyce, Arkansas, and Martha Garza (Jesse) of Loves Park, Illinois; grandchildren, Cyndi Carlson, Jason Jenkins, and Dawn Garza; several great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. in Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 P.M. Bro. Everett Hart and Rev. Marvin Marshall will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Machesney Park, Illinois.

Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, great-grandsons, Rev. George Ezell and Rev. Richard Mahan.
