Ravenden Springs-Virginia Lee James, 94, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.  She was born October 29, 1925 to the late Carson and Jessie Ervin Gipson in Coffman.  She married Frank A. James on April 25, 1942.  Virginia was a school bus driver for many years and a homemaker.  She was a member of Old Walnut Ridge Faith Assembly.  Virginia loved her Lord, family, and church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; brother, Carson Jack Gipson; sisters, Betty Williams and Jessie Ellen Granger; two great grandchildren, Connor and Caleb Hickman.

She is survived by her son, Terry James (Peggy) of Ravenden Springs; daughter, Barbara Mariott (Bob) of Jonesboro; sister, Mary Rogers of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Andi Hickman (Jason), Heath James, and Scott Mariott (Karen); great-grandchildren, Jade Kimble, Caden Hickman, Cruze Hickman, Rachel Pyle (Aaron) and Jessica Mariott; great-great grandchildren, Declan Kimble, Journey Mariott, Kylan Pyle, and Rogan Pyle.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 17, 2020 from 12 until 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Walnut Ridge.  Funeral will be private with Rev. James Moore and Bob Mariott officiating. Burial will be open to the public following the funeral services in Bradford Cemetery near Ravenden.  All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Scott Mariott, Heath James, Warren Williams, Aaron Henson, Jason Hickman, and Aaron Pyle.
