Virginia Jean Jones, 99, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Jonesboro. She was born on December 15, 1924 in Alicia to the late Claude Russell and Bulah (Grisby) Williams. Virginia was a binder and retired from Printing Company. She was of the Jehovah Witness belief.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Jones, four brothers, Bud Williams, Travis Williams, Connie Williams, and Adrian Williams; four sisters, Agnes Bradshaw, Linnie Phillips, Imogene Gilbert and Geneva McEntire.

She is survived by many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with funeral immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Morris Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Doyne Davis, Will Davis, Wyatt Davis, Byron McEntire, Greg Bunn and Brighton Brand.
