Wiley Marion Johnson, 93, of Pocahontas passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born on September 27, 1923 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Jackie and Doni Smith Johnson. He was married to Dora Cannon, worked in the lumber industry, and was of the Free Will Baptist belief.

Preceding him in death were:  his parents; his wife; son, Wiley Jr. (Bubby); daughters, Debbie Johnson and Betty Johnson; granddaughter, Sara; three brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include sons, Jackie Johnson (Rhonda), Dennis Johnson (Renee), David Johnson (Cheryl), Tracy Johnson, and Michael Johnson, all of Pocahontas; daughters, Mary Ann "Cookie" McCandless (Danny), and Bonnie Miller; eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 15, 2016, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Pocahontas.  A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Nelson Henderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Doni Martin Center in Pocahontas, or Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas.
