Willene Brown Staten, 86, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab. She was born July 21, 1938, in Walnut Ridge to the late Alfred and Gertrude (Hibbs) Sheets. She was employed at Walmart for many years and was a homemaker during her lifetime. She was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. Willene enjoyed sewing and quilting.

In addition to her parents, Willene was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Brown, and her second husband, Robert Staten; her son, Billy Joe Brown; her siblings, Lonnie Sheets, Troy Sheets, and Kathy Bradley; and her grandson, Matthew Brown.

She is survived by her son, Steve Brown (Liz) of Imboden; brothers, Melburn Sheets (Lois) of Hoxie, Bruce Sheets of Walnut Ridge, Phil Sheets (Sissy) of Hoxie, and Mark Sheets (Robin) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Amanda Yates, Becca Pratt, and Holley Skeen; step-grandson, Cody White; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members.

Services and burial will be private under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
